Class Work : Music Record labels

Record labels are what sign the artist for a certain and genre and Audie. They hve the finical side to market and publish songs music videos and albums of the artist. In addition they scout talent to develop up and coming stars.

There are 3 major record labels 

WArner music group

Sony BMG

universal music group 

70% of the music in the charts are produced by these record labels

but also you have minor record labels 

These are smaller compines that operate without funding of the major three

They are know as the feeders for the major record labels. They scout many talented artist and then they end up getting sighened by the major record labels

There are advantages of the minor labels as they allow more freedom and less control over the music of the artists
