video shoot 6 fight scene

This shoot was for the fight scene and was a challenging piece to do and very time consuming and planning. We firstly planned a list of the essentials we need for the blood for the music video so it makes it look rough and realistic. We went shopping and got golden syrup and red food dye , water , spoons and bowels. 

On the day of the filming we arrived early in the morning to corohprpah the fight scene. Take it through step by step from the entrance to the end as when edited , it all needs to fit toghether which can be challenging as we will be using a lot of different shots so it needs to work. Some images above show matt and Charlie corographing the fight scene.

Once the corohprpahing was done and we decided it worked and was happy we started to film. We started from the entrance of Charlie and then from the boys entrance. We wanted the fight scene not to look set up and look as of they just dumped into each-other. Charlie had to be betrayed as the underdog so he was by himself , looking vunrable due to the beging of the music video he was getting bullied by the same person when they was younger. We choose the outfit of matt ( bully) to be black to portray him as the villain and Charlie in grey/white as the hero. 

We did find it difficult through out the filming as due to it being a public place , people was walking past now and then.

When entered we wanted the fight to take place under the bridge but due to lighting difficulties we couldn't do this as it was to dark so we changed it to the be done just outside the bridge. 

The underpass/ bridge worked well as this gives a indication of the working class background of the characters and the type of are he was brought up in , the underpass looked scary and run down which made it a perfect location for a fight scene to take place. 

To ensure the audience new the bully was the same person when they was younger , we ensured they wore similar clothing from when they was younger to make it clear but also we used rigid collideon to put a scar on his face. We used an exteme close up on the face for this scene so you can clearly see it and we will do it again for the flash back at the begining. We also used the same location too and actors which slightly look alike.

Overall we ensure we made this perfect by doing the corohprpahing which I del payed off as this enabled us to get a rough idea and go in not all guns blazing. That plan structure is what made I that more professional and realistic and easier to edit later in. We feel the location was perfect and represented the image of the working class background well and the clothing and scar represented the characters  well. The shots we used too enabled us to show Charlie as the dominant and powerful through low angles and matt as the weak character through high angels. We feel this scene was planned and came out perfectly
