Video Shoot 2: Streets

Second Video Shoot:

Today we filmed our second video session for our music video. In the second video shoot the scene involved Charlie (3rd transformation ) and Frankie ( 1st transformation)

Location:

We used a number of different locations during this filming shoot. We filmed at Bostell heath in Welling and at some garages in Welling. At Bostell heath , we filmed some boxing/training scenes which involved Frankie punching on the pads.

Furthermore we done some training scenes involving running where Frankie is running down the streets and garages. We also done this with Charlie.

Equipment:

The equipment we used was the following:

  • A Tri Pod
  • A DSLR 600 camera

Roles:

Charlie: Actor
Frankie: Actor
Daniel: Camera man
Harry: Camera man
Charlie: Camera man

Props:

Boxing pads
Boxing gloves
Car

Costume:

The costume we used was the same for Charlie and Frankie , a grey tracksuit. We wanted it to look simple for the audience to understand that Charlie is a grown up version of Frankie.

Review:

Overall , the filming session went well. We adapted to the equipment we had and took advantage of having a car so we filmed some moving shots and using the mirrors of the car to film in to make it look interesting and engaging for the audience. In addition , we used interesting locations and locations that look working class so it adds to the working class family feel that Charlie has been brought up in.

inside panel 3rd draft

This is my 2nd draft of my panel.
I improved my second one by adding colour to the image. Again I am carrying that red theme through out and adding that to my digi pack. I decided to cut out the color version of the bottles and then apply them onto of the black and white photo.
Overall I am happy with this panel and prefer it to the black and white design . The black and white design was to boring and I knew my digi pack needed some colour to it so I applied the red through out my digi pack.  The red bottles make this image more exciting And actually brings it too life. But I feel like there is something still missing so I am going to add on our twitter and Facebook pages onto the bottom to make it that little bit more professional and engaging for the audience.

Poster Idea 1

This is my first idea of my album poster which i created on Photoshop.
I used the image taken in the photo shoot on the day out up London with the band. The reason why I choose this photo is because it has a strong meaning of the boys looking out in achieving their dreams , also the bridge represent london in where they are from . They are shown together as they are a band and also playing around with the effect i added a blur to make it look unique and indie. In addition , i added the whole track listing and made the debut album stand out as that is the main attraction.

INSIDE PANEL

This is my inside panel design.

I decided to change my inside panel due to from my feedback , I had to change it as it was a basic design. I chose to make my digi pack more unique and added a element which gives the audience a choice. This panel can me mixed from an image of a the bass guitar , drums , microphone or guitar. They each represent a different person. This idea plays on the strings of my digi pack being more of a collectors item for the super fans. Something in which we learnt at the beginning that a digi pack is for collectors purpose. I feel that this is a good idea that involves the super fans to chase them down. In addition . the angle of the shot makes the image more engaging and exciting and unique due to it going up the guitar strings. Furthermore the red carry on that red theme throughout my digi pack giving it consistency.

CD panel ( CD)

This is the CD I created. I wanted to be unique and different and wanted to make a CD that wasn't like the others of other people. I wanted the CD to show the image of the band and how they create their music. So i came up with the idea of using a ashtray.
The use of the ashtray was a way to show the image of the band that some of the member smoke and their rebellious lifestyle. In addition the ashtray and amount of cigerrettes sybsllises the creation of their music , they make the music when they are together chilling out.  The ashtray is a symbolic image of the friendship of the band and how they created this digipack through hanging bout together like a 'gathering' drinking and smoking. Just like Ossis album ..... They had their front cover of them chilling out smoking ect.
How I done this was I collected cigerrettes from the Christmas period and put them in one ashtray and took a high angle photo.

Overall i am pleased with this outcome as like mentioned above this has a lot of hidden meaning About the band , genre and the music snd also is a unique idea. The black and white suits the digi pack color theme and I hope the feedback is positive.

Bonus DVD (DVD)

This is the DVD I used for my DVD Panel.
I wanted to be unique like my other CD panel and instead of having a boring disk I wanted to be unique and different , a theme In which I am trying to show in my digi pack do I decided to use a
Bottle cps as my disk. Firstly I took a image of a range of bottle caps shown bellow. And chose one that looked vintage and rustic so it gave off a rough effect. I then created the logo on photoshop through using circles to create the red outline and then the white outline in the middle and then put A red straight line across. I done that because there will be a whole in the DVD so a white background wouldn't look that clear and I feel the red line works well and breaks up the 'rouges' and 'gallery' making the disk less boring a simple. I then chose the colour red for the sybsllises reasoning of my digi pack.
And then I just merge the logo
On top of the bottle cap.

Overall I am happy with my digi pack and feel like it works well and is unique and different. It also links in with the CD panel. But CD doesn't link in with the pocket so from my feedback i will see what I should do. But I am pleased with it so far , and hopefully from the feedback and can make it 'perfect'

CD Panel Second: (Pocket)

This is the draft of my Bonus DVD panel.

I wanted to unique and decided to make a pocket for the DVD to be slotted into.
For this DVD I wanted to use an image which links into the theme of what the DVD is about , with a band performance image of the band back stage as that is what the DVD is about, showing the band back stage ect. I then edited the photo and made it black and
White so it follows the theme of my digi pack and also ensured that the red guitar stands out as the colour red is a symbolic colour through out my digi pack.

Overall i am happy with this pocket as I feel the image links in with what the DVD is about and is a better image that the one used before. However I feel like with my DVD being a bottle cap their is no link there and with this image of the band it could be too many images of the band and start to look abit to appearcne focused than what the real theme is , is to show the band lifestyle and type of music and band they are in their digi pack. I am going to present this to my class and get feedback.
